(Sharecast News) - DIY chain Wickes said it was on track to meet expectations of a 10% jump in adjusted annual profit despite an uncertain consumer environment, sending its shares up 10% on Tuesday.

(Sharecast News) - Home improvement retailer Wickes reported like-for-like growth in both its retail and its design and installation units in second quarter, leaving the firm comfortable with 2026 adjusted pre-tax profit forecasts.

(Sharecast News) - Deutsche Bank downgraded a host of UK retailers on Friday, saying the biggest debate right now is whether we are in the "calm before the storm" with regards the inflationary impact on consumer spending and retailer margins or whether we are creating a "storm in a teacup".
