Deutsche Bank hikes Tesco price target after results

(Sharecast News) - Deutsche Bank lifted its price target on Tesco to 550p from 525p on Friday after the supermarket chain upped the lower end of annual guidance and its share buyback programme a day earlier, as it posted a rise in interim profits.

(Sharecast News) - Shore Capital said on Thursday that Tesco had delivered a resilient first‑half performance in a UK grocery market that tightened over the summer, with the grocery chain posting 1.6% constant‑currency sales growth and a 6.3% rise in adjusted underlying earnings.

(Sharecast News) - UK supermarket chain Tesco on Thursday lifted the lower end of annual guidance and its share buyback programme after interim profits jumped 6.5% to £1.78bn, sending shares in the firm more than 6% higher in a weak London market.
